American Naval Shipyard, LLC Retains Goldman Sachs & Co., LLC as Project Financial Advisor

Bartlett Maritime Corporation is pleased to announce that its operating subsidiary American Naval Shipyard, LLC has retained Goldman Sachs & Co., LLC as project financial advisor for its Bartlett Maritime Plan™.

CAPT Edward L. Bartlett, Jr., Bartlett Maritime Corporation Founder, commenting on retaining Goldman Sachs to advise on this project, noted, “With our objective being so clear and compelling – to support the national defense by providing the additional capacity and capability which is so urgently required in our Naval Shipyard industrial enterprise – it is essential that we ensure each element of the overall plan is properly planned and executed. This project will apply significant investor funds to complete the detail design and build these essential new facilities and to provide them the proper tools, provisions and equipment. Because of this, it has always been essential that our team includes a global leader in the successful development and implementation of this type of public-private-partnership. Goldman Sachs was our first choice as financial advisor on this project; we are pleased to have retained the firm.” Mr. Renold “Rod” Thompson, Jr., Chief Financial Officer for American Naval Shipyard, observed, “We have both been impressed by the project diligence conducted by Goldman Sachs as, over the last two months, we discussed retaining them for this project, and we have found their New York and San Francisco-based Investment Banking Team to be both impressively experienced and well-versed on the many specific regulations and requirements which must be reflected in developing such a capital plan. As CFO, I look forward to closely working with the Goldman Sachs team as we effectively and efficiently develop and then execute this capital plan in support of this essential National Defense project.”
