Honorable George Sawyer Retires

Bartlett Maritime Corporation announces the retirement of Honorable George Sawyer from the Bartlett Maritime Corporation Senior Advisory Board.

Sawyer has been a member of the Bartlett Maritime Corporation Senior Advisory Board since 2019.  During his tenure, he served as a trusted advisor bringing his expertise forward in support of the development of The Bartlett Maritime Plan TM.  Sawyer’s extensive leadership background includes serving as the Assistant Secretary of the U.S. Navy, Shipbuilding & Logistics and as a founding partner of J.F. Lehman & Company.  He was also a submarine engineer officer in the U.S. Navy serving on the only dual reactor SSN.  Sawyer is a graduate of Yale University and studied nuclear engineering at Knolls Atomic Power Laboratories in Schenectady, N.Y.  He is a member of the American Society of Naval Engineers and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.

Commenting on the retirement of Honorable George Sawyer from the Bartlett Maritime Corporation Senior Advisory Board, Founder CAPT Edward Bartlett, noted, “George Sawyer has played an essential role in serving as a key advisor to our team, we are grateful to him for his counsel throughout the development of our plan.  We thank him for his dedicated service in pursuit of solving the current US Navy aircraft carrier and submarine maintenance crisis.  While we will miss him and his leadership, we wish him the best of luck in his retirement.”
